My Mother's Classic Hamburger Soup Recipe
Hamburger Soup's The Best!
I love a good soup as a weeknight meal. Hearty hamburger soups are satisfying & simple to make. They
are loaded with vegetables and healthy ingredients! Soup is the perfect cool-weather food or a
delicious, easy dinner! You can make this soup low-calorie like a vegetable Soup, nice and hearty
like a chicken wild rice soup or rich and creamy like a slow-cooker corn chowder! I have to say that
while we've always referred to this as hamburger soup, I know you guys have tons of other names for
it: Hamburger soup, vegetable soup, hangover soup, poor man’s soup, bachelor’s stew… just to name a
few. Regardless of what you call it, you’ll definitely want to make it!

What's New & Exciting
The Fiusca Fest
While not Hamburger Soup related, I finished reading about the Vilnius Pink Soup Fest, and honestly, the whole concept kind of blew my mind. It's wild to think an entire European capital turns itself hot pink just to celebrate a bowl of cold soup. I love how Lithuania took šaltibarščiai, a simple soup recipe, into a massive festival. And it's not just a trend. this dish has been cooling locals down for ages. The part that really cracked me up was the "food feud" mentioned in the article. Apparently, Latvia claims the soup is theirs, but Vilnius is clearly winning the soup war. Vilinius launched a "Pink Soup Train" to ferry people from Riga to Vilnius in neon-pink carriages. That is a level of petty genius I have to respect.
What really sold me, though, is how much fun everyone seems to be having. It doesn't look like one of those stiff, boring food tastings. They really commit to the bit. This is exactly how history should be celebrated. Forget the dusty museum tours; give me a neon street party any day. It proves that heritage doesn't have to be serious and somber. It can be loud, messy, and actually taste good. After reading this, I'm 100% adding it to my bucket list. It feels like the perfect mix of honoring the past while just embracing pure, chaotic fun.

My Favourite Picnic Spot to Enjoy Outdoor Hamburger Soup
When the air gets cold and the geese migrate south, I feel a familar pull. There's something about being outside with warm food. It's the perfect time to head out to Jasper and enjoy a fresh bowl of hamburger soup at Centennial Park. Relax under the sheltering pine trees and snow hills. I hope you enjoy this place as much as I do.
